How to Use the CrawlHunt Shopify App

This guide shows merchants how to install the CrawlHunt Shopify app, connect their store to CrawlHunt, run an SEO audit, and review fixes inside the app.

1

Add your Shopify store in CrawlHunt

Go to the Integrations page in your CrawlHunt dashboard and click Add Integration. Select Shopify as the platform, enter your Shopify store name (without .myshopify.com), and click Add Integration to proceed.

  • Navigate to Integrations in your CrawlHunt dashboard
  • Select Shopify from the platform list
  • Enter your store name — only the subdomain, not the full URL
  • Click Add Integration to connect
2

Approve permissions in Shopify

Shopify will redirect you to an Update data access screen for the Crawl Hunt app by THEMESHOPY PRIVATE LIMITED. Review the requested permissions and click Install to authorize the app.

  • Review permissions — staff data and store data access
  • Confirm the app is published by THEMESHOPY PRIVATE LIMITED
  • Click Install to approve and complete the installation
3

Launch the CrawlHunt app from Shopify

After installation, Shopify will open the CrawlHunt embedded app directly inside your Shopify admin. From the welcome screen, click Start Free SEO Scan to begin your first audit.

  • The CrawlHunt app opens inside the Shopify admin
  • Click Start Free SEO Scan to launch your first crawl
  • No credit card required — the scan is Shopify approved and safe
4

View your crawl results

Once the crawl completes, CrawlHunt will create a project for your store. Head to the Projects page in your CrawlHunt dashboard to see the results, including site health score, errors, warnings, crawlability, HTTPS status, and internal linking score.

  • Open the CrawlHunt dashboard and go to Projects
  • Find your Shopify store listed under Your Projects
  • Review site health, errors, warnings, and crawlability metrics
  • Click Run Again to trigger a fresh crawl at any time
5

Review detected SEO issues

Click View on your project to open the audit report. Navigate to the Issues tab to see a full list of detected SEO issues for your Shopify store, including 4xx errors, missing canonical tags, short page titles, missing meta descriptions, and H1 issues, sorted by type and priority.

  • Switch to the Issues tab in your audit report
  • Review errors (high priority) before warnings and opportunities
  • Click View URLs on any issue to see the affected pages
  • Export results as CSV or PDF for your records
6

Apply AI fixes to SEO issues

Open any crawled page from the Crawled Pages tab to view its Page Details. Switch to the SEO tab to see fields like Page Title, Meta Description, and Page Handle. Use AI Fix for instant suggestions or Edit to make manual changes, or use Bulk AI Fixes to fix multiple fields at once.

  • Open a page from the Crawled Pages tab
  • Click the SEO tab in the Page Details panel
  • Use AI Fix next to any field for an instant AI-generated suggestion
  • Use Bulk AI Fixes to apply fixes across all fields at once
